Rare video footage of a snow leopard mother and her two newborn cubs in the wild has been captured at a national park in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province.
The video footage showing the rare and precious sight of snow leopard mother breastfeeding her babies was taken on a camera installed by staff at the Sanjiangyuan National park.
It also recorded the two cubs, about 10 days old, cuddling each other and learning to walk by themselves.
Snow leopards are a first-class protected animal in China and are classified as "vulnerable" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. They mainly inhabit the Himalayas in central and southern Asia at an altitude of 2,500 to 4,500 meters.
